The ICS Shifting Tool is designed to move the inner sleeve of the
ICS Sliding Sleeve System into the open or closed position. ICS
Sliding Sleeves are configured to open down or up, depending on the
customers
requirements.
They can also be configured with a profile nipple to
accommodate wireline locks and plugs.
Depending on the direction the sleeve is to be moved, the tool engages
the recess in the upper or lower end of the sleeve which allows the
sleeve to be shifted by jarring action.
The ICS Shifting Tool incorporates an automatic release profile to
release itself only after the sleeve reaches the fully open or closed
position. A shear pin release feature allows the tool to be released
in the event the sleeve cannot be shifted. |
